WordPress theme of the week: SlideOne

SlideOne is a parallax, one page WordPress Theme that has a superb design with a fresh and innovative approach. The most astonishing feature is the changing image background that occurs when you scroll down the website. The colors of the menu also change when you move from one section of the page to the other. The site really draws attention and will keep your visitors on the site with this playful design.

Since this is a one page WordPress Theme everything happens on the home page. Blog section is nicely executed and transitions between the blog section and specific posts are fast and smooth. The only thing that might not be the best are the comments. If you scroll a bit too far you will be moved to a different section of the website and that can be a bit annoying.

Portfolio section works in the same way as the blog. Once you click on an item you will be smoothly moved to the portfolio item. I would make all images in portfolio clickable since this is intuitive and most visitors will try to click on them.

Several amazing features like multi color buttons and pricing tables have been added to the theme and will make your life easier. Contact page is simple but useful. Overall this is the best one page WordPress Theme and I would definitely recommend it (if you are a fan of one page themes).
