They are many types of novelty fonts. From curly serifs, to bubble letters and dotes and spikes on letters, Willd West, Horror movies, etc. They are considered to be an art form of typography, because they have a very distinctive design and they can even have pictures of objects. They are best used for a few words, like in a heading, and are not suitable for body text. They ares also known as ornamental or sometimes display, and are used exclusively for decorative purposes.
